 DOC DOP..Product certification
D.O.P.
Product certification or product qualification is the process of certifying that a certain product has passed performance and/or quality assurance tests or qualification requirements stipulated in regulations such as a building code and nationally accredited test standards, or that it complies with a set of regulations governing quality and/or minimum performance requirements.
DOC Denominazione Origine Controlata / DOCG Denominazione Origine Controlata Garantita

Denominazione di origine controllata is an Italian quality assurance label for food products and especially wines. It was instituted in 1963 and overhauled in 1992 for compliance with the equivalent EU law on Protected Designation of Origin, which came into effect that year.
Both require that a food product be produced within the specified region using defined methods and that it satisfies a defined quality standard.

  DOP / IGP / STG

Protected designation of origin (DOP), protected geographical indication (IGP) and Traditional Speciality Guaranteed (STG) are geographical indications (SGI) defined in European Union Law to protect the names of regional foods. The law (enforced within the EU and being gradually expanded internationally via bilateral agreements of the EU with non-EU countries) ensures that only products genuinely originating in that region are allowed in commerce as such. The legislation came into force in 1992. The purpose of the law is to protect the reputation of the regional foods and eliminate the unfair competition and misleading of consumers by non-genuine products, which may be of inferior quality or of different flavor. These laws protect the names of wines, cheeses, hams, sausages, olives, beers, and even regional breads, fruits, and vegetables. Foods such as Gorgonzola, Parmigiano Reggiano, Asiago cheese
